Dying is one of the most profound human experiences — yet for many Australians, the final chapter is spent in places that don’t reflect their wishes. Hospitals are often overstretched, clinical, or guided by religious affiliations that may not support Voluntary Assisted Dying (VAD). Home, while familiar, can leave families bearing the weight of trauma, judgment, or care they are not equipped to provide.
Too often, people face their last days in settings that don’t feel peaceful, personal, or true to who they are.
Our vision is to build a dedicated hospice — Australia’s first of its kind — where palliative care and VAD are offered side by side, without judgment. A place of warmth, dignity, and choice. A place where people, and the families who love them, are supported with compassion and respect.
Because death should be met with the same tenderness and humanity as life itself.
